ABOUT US

October 2017. We originally started out as a company called “Graphfor Ltd” with five members on the board. In November 2020 a company buy out was completed and during this a Company Rebrand to Monarch Gaskets & Seals Ltd was launched.

One of our main products manufactured in our product portfolio are the Triple Offset Laminated Seals for the Butterfly Valves – So it made perfect sense to use the regal butterfly as our rebranded company name. We also like how its not engineered related and ties in the environmental side of the business that we work at to make sure all parts reduce leaks on applications one project at a time.

Simply:  We care about our customers, our products and service; making sure we take the headaches away for anything Gasket or Seal related. A happy customer will always return and this we can build; month on month, year after year to become the best company we can be for ourselves and in return for our customers.

We always try to smell the roses along the way and even the smallest achievement is still a positive step forward and some of the biggest achievements come from the right step in the right direction. Two achievements stand out for us: Gaining ISO 9001 and the success of trail parts on a cutting edge Hydrogen project that we had the privilege to be involved with and continue to service.

We have to wear PPE clothing as this is the environment we work in, but we do have cool PPE Clothing with a fantastic Butterfly / Bee Combo on our backs – with the words from Muhammad Ali printed on the back: “FLOAT LIKE A BUTTERFLY STING LIKE A BEE. HIS HANDS CAN’T HIT WHAT HIS HANDS CANT SEE”

The pandemic – this was our biggest challenge by far, we supply parts to the pharmaceutical and Food industry, so we had official confirmation that as Key Workers that we had to remain open which was a challenge as a good amount of our customers had furloughed which made our order intake reduce in a negative way. We had to move machinery and implement two metre zones to keep members of staff safe while continue to manufacture to deadlines to keep these vital contracts going. Its wasn’t easy and it wasn’t fun but with the amazing team we have we all got through it.

A lot, we believe that if we are to grow and ensure our customers gets the Monarch -Experience that is expected. Then we all need to be at the sharp end of the business – one in all in attitude. We never let anyone of our employees do it tough alone. If you want to go fast – Go Alone. If you want to go far – Go Together!

Monarch Gaskets & Seals Ltd’s impressive start to 2022 includes the accreditation of ISO 9001 Certification, increasing the number of press machines to seven, and investment in a 25 Tonne Hydraulic Press for manufacturing Graphite Pressed Die Formed Rings, giving us the capability to press the smallest DFR, up to 400mm OD.

We have an extensive range of inhouse DFR tooling, offering manufacture in any grade of specialised graphite. This, along with our two waterjet machines, gives the capability to cut parts in any material from drawing or reverse engineer parts to the tightest tolerances.

Our Triple offset Valve – Laminated “Butterfly Valve” Seals (Yes, this is where the “Monarch” name came from) is still one of strongest product ranges in our manufactured inhouse portfolio.

With the capability of Waterjet Cutting, the metal laminates and specialised graphite inlays and 5 Axis CNC capabilities, we can produce TOSV laminated seals within a 2-week window.

We can supply these parts with a monogram finish on the outer layer without warping, as we don’t used the CNC machine method to create the monogram finish.

We have also invested heavily in a range of Metal Ring Type Joints (RTJs). We found that sourcing stock throughout the UK, mostly down to the pandemic, was challenging at times with lead-times too long for our customers’ requirements. This, along with continually fluctuating prices, meant we invested in holding increased stock levels for 2022, enabling us to help service the industry better. The RTJs are available off the shelf to the industry, with full certification, and are supplied without Monarch branding or packaging.

Distributor price lists are available via our Key Account Manager, Francesca Harris. Francesca has many years in the industry and brings a wealth of knowledge, accelerating Monarch Gaskets & Seals into new markets and product ranges, complementing our existing portfolio perfectly.

We have recently focused on developing our seals range to include O Rings, Lip Seals, FEP Vulcanised Seals and Machined Seals, and will continue to grow this side of the business.

Please feel free to email Francesca at sales@monarch-gaskets.co.uk for price lists on RTJs or any other requirement you may have for Gaskets, Seals or Waterjet Profile Cutting.
